Designed Around Everything the Run Touches
Runners have often had to choose between gear built for performance and clothing that fits the rest of the day. NikeLab Running, however, takes a different approach. The new collection combines performance innovation, refined materials and modern style in a considered system that follows the runner from the commute to the running path, through changing weather and into recovery.
Rather than focusing only on the run itself, NikeLab Running explores everything surrounding it. As a result, each piece works as part of a head-to-toe wardrobe that supports training while fitting naturally into everyday life.

Performance Meets Refined Design
The debut seasonal collection includes tops, bottoms and outerwear in women’s and men’s styles. Every piece brings together lightweight finishes, thoughtful layering and practical storage, while the overall design channels the look of speed into a modern running wardrobe.
For women, the collection features wool-blend tops that balance breathability, insulation and versatility, alongside shorts, leggings, vests and outerwear. Meanwhile, men’s lightweight woven jackets and pants combine stretch, comfort and refined tailoring to support runners across changing conditions.

Athlete Insights Shape the Collection
NikeLab Running draws on data from the Nike Sport Research Lab to inform material placement across each garment. Specifically, Nike considers ventilation in areas where runners generate the most heat and heat retention where additional protection matters. In addition, targeted stretch, reflective details, secure storage and minimal-seam construction help keep the apparel functional without becoming distracting.
The collection also reflects insights from athletes and runners with different abilities and training intensities. Consequently, Nike approaches the apparel as a connected system rather than a group of individual pieces.

From Hard Efforts to Everyday Life
“The most interesting challenge wasn’t designing for a single run, it was designing for everything that surrounds it,” says Sarah Gardner, Director, Global Women’s Running Apparel. “The commute to your favorite running path, the weather that changes halfway through a workout, the extra layer you may or may not need. We wanted every piece to feel considered, purposeful and ready for whatever the day brings.”
Nike’s Swoosh TC athletes, a collective of elite distance runners, bring that idea to life through their training and personal style. Their experience demonstrates how the collection can move from hard efforts to the rest of the day. At the same time, their feedback will continue to inform what NikeLab Running becomes.

A New Direction for Nike Running
NikeLab Running marks an exploration of what comes next in running apparel. Rather than returning to a nostalgic aesthetic, Nike uses the collection as a platform to test, learn and advance ideas that could influence how it serves runners more broadly over time.
Ultimately, NikeLab Running brings performance, craftsmanship and versatility together in one intentional system. The debut collection launches globally on October 1, 2026, at nike.com and select retail partners.
