A New Take on the Speedcat
The Speedcat receives one of the collection’s most distinctive updates. The motorsport-inspired silhouette arrives in smooth burgundy leather, while a modernized laceless construction takes inspiration from a design found in the PUMA archive.
As a result, the low-profile shape gets a more sculptural appearance without losing the character that made the Speedcat an icon. On the heel, debossed shapes create the look of peering spider eyes. At the same time, the detail works as Daniëlle Cathari’s signature logo, adding a graphic element to the otherwise minimal design.
The Suede Gets a Subtle Twist
The Suede takes a quieter approach in soft blue premium suede. A classic gum outsole keeps the familiar character of the silhouette, while Cathari introduces a distinctive change to the Formstrip.
Instead of following its traditional placement, the Formstrip wraps around the shoe, creating a subtle visual disruption. Meanwhile, a tonal CATHARI wordmark sits embossed on the tongue. Tonal branding and premium finishes complete the understated look.
Understated Sportswear
The collection continues Cathari’s approach to contemporary sportswear by focusing on small design changes rather than completely reinventing PUMA’s classics. Consequently, both silhouettes retain their recognizable foundations while gaining a more refined and fashion-focused character.
