Nike ACG All Conditions Racing Department is shaping the future of trail running with elite athletes, bold ideas, and groundbreaking gear.
A Wild Legacy Meets a New Chapter
For nearly 40 years, Nike ACG has created gear built for the wildest terrains and toughest conditions. Now, with the launch of the All Conditions Racing Department, the brand takes that mission further. It brings together endurance runners who thrive on speed and embrace the challenge of extreme environments.More than a team, it represents a community where identity, grit, and performance collide.

Athletes at the Core of Innovation
The roster includes 22 athletes from eight countries and five U.S. states. Among them are standout names such as Caleb Olson, winner of the 2025 Western States Endurance Run, Nienke Brinkman from Switzerland, and Italy’s Cesare Maestri. Together, these athletes form a truly global mix. Moreover, they work side by side with Nike ACG to co-create the next generation of gear.
They do this by testing prototypes, providing feedback, and pushing products until they break. In turn, innovation becomes athlete-driven and performance-tested.

For example, this process has already produced major milestones. One is the Nike ACG Ultrafly, a trail super shoe tested across 30,000 miles. Another breakthrough is Nike Radical AirFlow, a material created to help athletes stay cool during intense heat on race day.
Crucially, every idea starts on the mountain. It then evolves inside the Nike Sport Research Lab before returning to the trail for real-world testing.

Fueling the Spirit of the Wild
Scott LeClair, VP/GM of Nike ACG, explains the vision: “From Fastest Known Times to 100-milers, mountain climbs to river crossings, the pursuit of feral dreams fuels everything we do. It’s dirty. It’s hard. It’s gritty. That’s what Nike ACG and our All Conditions Racing Department athletes are getting after.”
Setting the Pace for Tomorrow
The new department is already visible on the world’s biggest stages — from Transgrancanaria to UTMB. In fact, through these appearances, it clearly demonstrates Nike ACG’s strong commitment to the trail running community.

Olson reflects on the impact of that support. “Whether I’m testing new protos, giving input or planning my next summit, Nike ACG’s support means I can push my limits and redefine what’s possible on the trails.”
By combining heritage, athlete partnership, and cutting-edge design, the Nike ACG All Conditions Racing Department moves trail running forward. As a result, it is setting the pace for the future of performance in the wild.
