The JJJJound x PUMA Mostro Collab strips back the bold 1999 design for a minimal, modern twist led by Montreal’s design powerhouse.
A Minimalist Rework of the Iconic Mostro
PUMA and JJJJound have teamed up once again to introduce a fresh interpretation of the PUMA Mostro. This version focuses on clean lines and meticulous details. JJJJound is known for his precision and refined taste, which he brings to this collaboration. As a result, he elevates the original silhouette, first launched in 1999, to a new level of understated sophistication.
Moving away from the Mostro’s original bold forefoot strap, JJJJound replaces it with a more familiar lacing system—designed to highlight functionality and subtle craftsmanship. The updated design maintains the spiked outsole while introducing a butter yellow leather liner, perfectly matched with the laces. The Formstrip appears only as tonal stitching, staying in line with JJJJound’s minimalist DNA.
Two Rich Colorways and Premium Materials
The pack includes two colorways: Brown and Navy Blue. Both options feature a premium nubuck upper, which offers a soft and elevated texture. Additionally, they come with supple leather linings that ensure all-day comfort. You’ll also notice JJJJound’s branding subtly stamped on the insole. This detail enhances the shoes’ understated appeal. Overall, the design balances comfort and style beautifully.
This marks the first global collaboration between the two since their China-exclusive Suede release in 2022, showing the evolution of their creative dialogue.

Exclusive Friends-and-Family Drop
In addition to the general release, a friends-and-family edition will be produced. This version stays closer to the OG Mostro design, retaining the strap closure and adding a two-tone palette—a nod to the silhouette’s original futuristic vibe.
Release Dates and Availability
The JJJJound x PUMA Mostro will be available starting July 10, 2025, via JJJJound.com, followed by a wider release on July 12, 2025, through selected PUMA stockists worldwide.
