The Story Behind FEWOCiOUS and adidas Originals’ Bold and Playful Collaboration
In a new partnership that celebrates art, culture, creativity, and Web3 innovation, adidas Originals has teamed up with FEWOCiOUS. The 20-year-old artist is known for his trailblazing work in the digital space. The collaboration showcases Trefoil’s dedication to innovation and the artist’s unique flair. As a result, adidas Originals and FEWOCiOUS unveil a striking range of physical and digital product drops.
Who is FEWOCiOUS
FEWOCiOUS, whose real name is Victor Langlois, is one of the leading Web3 artists. He uses his playful style, bold aesthetic, and deeply personal approach to share his life story and experience as a transgender youth through his work. FEWOCiOUS has been a fan since he was 16, when he started using adidas silhouettes as an artistic canvas. However, his first collaboration with The Three Stripes came in 2022. It was an installation for the adidas /// Studio (Three Stripes Studio) during Art Basel Miami in December 2022.
To celebrate the launch of their collaboration, adidas Originals and FEWOCiOUS have created a special Trefoil Flower Mint Pass. That will be available on June 22nd. Furthermore, this pass is not only a limited edition NFT. It will also be a key to redeeming a pair of exclusive Campus 00’s sneakers designed by FEWOCiOUS.
FEWOCiOUS expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “This is a dream come true for me. I used to paint adidas shoes in my bedroom by myself four years ago and now I get to officially work with them! This is one of the most challenging and rewarding projects I’ve ever done. I can’t wait to share it with the world. I believe in the future of fashion and footwear and how digital and physical can come together. The Campus 00’s
The Campus 00’s sneakers have a black and white ‘linework’ style with a blue and white cloud pattern lace. Thus, reflecting FEWOCiOUS’ playful and personal aesthetic. Furthermore, the sneakers are also token-gated and NFC-tagged, meaning that only holders of certain NFTs can access them. These include the FEWOCiOUS x FewoWorld: Paint NFTs, the ALTS by adidas ‘Decos’ and ‘Soles’ [ALT]er Ego NFTs, and some other NFTs from the adidas and FEWOCiOUS ecosystems.
The Trefoil Flower Mint Pass will be available for minting and purchasing on OpenSea, the world’s leading NFT marketplace, on June 22nd. Additionally, the owners of the pass can upgrade it to a digital twin of the Campus 00’s sneaker later in the summer. As a result, they will be able to use the digital version as a virtual wearable in the upcoming avatar projects: FewoWorld Fewo’s & ALTS by adidas.
