New Balance has teamed up with NBA All-Star Tyrese Maxey to launch the New Balance x Tyrese Maxey Hero Pack. This collaboration draws inspiration from Maxey’s deep passion for superheroes. The pack features two striking silhouettes: the Hesi Low v2 and the 1906R. These models effectively combine high-performance technology with engaging storytelling. Together, they create a unique blend of style and functionality that fans will love.
A Hero’s Origin Story
The campaign not only serves as a product launch but also stands as a creative tribute to Maxey’s roots. To achieve this, Dallas-based artist Jammie Holmes has designed vibrant visuals with a comic book theme. Through his expressive, hand-painted artwork, he effectively captures Maxey’s dynamic presence, adding depth and personality to the campaign.
Moreover, this campaign highlights the beginnings of Maxey’s basketball journey. It also showcases the community spirit that he embodies at every stage of his career.
“This pack means a lot to me because it brings together two things I’ve always loved—basketball and superheroes,” says Maxey. “New Balance gave me the freedom to tell my story, and I hope it inspires people to find the hero in themselves.”

The Hesi Low v2 is built for speed, featuring FuelCell cushioning, a breathable mesh upper, and a traction-focused outsole. Dressed in blue-grey tones with a purple-to-blue iridescent heel, the sneaker includes Maxey’s signature printed inside a comic-style speech bubble.
Meanwhile, the 1906R presents an off-court alternative with a matching color palette. It features reflective accents and gold detailing, which add a stylish touch. The New Balance x Tyrese Maxey Hero Pack releases July 31 at NewBalance.com and at select Foot Locker locations in Philadelphia and Dallas. The Hesi Low v2 will retail for $120, while the 1906R is priced at $160.
