A Fearless Design Language Inspired by Ja

“I told the Nike design team I needed something that talks before I even lace it up,” Ja says. “I wanted my third signature shoe to feel like my game and my personality. I told them, ‘Don’t be scared. Push it. Make it rugged, make it different.’ And they ran with it.”
Advanced Materials Meet Personal Touches
The Ja 3 continues the “scratch” motif seen in Ja’s earlier models, enhanced with lightweight mesh, purposeful perforations, and a translucent rubber cupsole. Underfoot, a full-length ZoomX foam midsole — layered with ZoomX scrap materials — delivers explosive energy return without compromising comfort.
Traction Built for the Crossover King
The outsole introduces a new micro-traction pattern inspired by Ja’s bulldog crossover, locking in grip when speed and shiftiness matter most.
“I’m reading the game way better now — slowing it down when I need to, attacking when I see the opening,” Ja says. “The Ja 3 matches that. It’s got that balance: Speed when I need it, control when I need to switch gears.”
Details That Reflect Ja’s Mindset
Branding-wise, the silhouette is loaded with personal touches. A monogram Ja logo and a vertical Swoosh form a stylized “JA” on the lateral side. Outsoles feature standout quotes:
“A happy Ja is a scary Ja” on the right, and
“I’m not even worried about proving them wrong” on the left — paired with a split “12” on each foot.
