A Celebration of Skateboarding Culture
The United Through Skateboarding collection brings Atiba Jefferson’s creative journey to life, paying homage to the streets, friendships, and cultural movements that shaped him. Known for capturing iconic skate images, Atiba’s influence stretches far beyond skateboarding, touching music, fashion, and art.

“This was on a Thrasher Vacation trip in Argentina. Curren was trying this tre flip over the rail and this very concerned local kept kicking our boards and blocking the rail, pretty typical on these skate missions. Caples stuck it just as the cops were being called and we were off to the next spot.”

“We were shooting for Vans in LA and really wanted to capture the Walt Disney Center in the background. This had a whole early 90’s vibe to it.” Camera: Canon R5

“This was a Vans trip to Malaga in the Mediterranean. Elijah had just grinding up this gnarly rail and Rowan was there to celebrate. This was just one of those special moments that every skater knows after a battle.”

“It was my first trip with Vans and first time meeting John. I remember being so excited because John was one of his favorite skaters growing up. I couldn’t believe how excited John was each day and how he just wanted to skate everything.”

The campaign, art-directed by Atiba, reflects skateboarding’s ability to unite communities. A diverse cast of skaters, musicians, and athletes amplify the message of inclusion and creativity, demonstrating how skateboarding transcends backgrounds.

Spotlight on the Featured Athletes
A central part of the campaign is its cast, which represents the wide cultural reach of skateboarding. Lizzie Armanto, Zion Wright, Curren Caples, Shiloh Catori, and Cocona Hiraki highlight the next generation of skateboarding talent, while figures like Baron Davis and C.J. Uzomah show how the culture connects across basketball and football. Actors Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, Anders Holm, Sam Richardson, and Tim Robinson add humor and personality, while musician Franz Lyons bridges skateboarding with music. Together, they embody the spirit of skateboarding as a unifying force that welcomes every voice.

Key Pieces and Design Details
At the center of the collection is the Skate Half Cab® with WaffleCup™ Outsole, a first-of-its-kind design featuring Atiba’s photograph of John Cardiel on a custom insole, paired with hand-drawn artwork by graffiti legend HAZE. The Skate Old Skool™ 36+ follows with more Cardiel imagery and graffiti-style logo treatments.

Rounding out the drop is a selection of apparel and accessories curated by Atiba himself. Functional skate-ready pieces are layered with archival photos and new artwork, blurring the lines between style and storytelling.
