A New Chapter in Collaborative Sportswear
adidas and Arte Antwerp are starting a partnership that will continue for multiple seasons. The project reimagines sportswear through the lens of culture, shaped by Bertony Da Silva’s Angolan heritage and European upbringing. This collaboration pays tribute to the African diaspora and its influence on global sport. At the same time, it aims to slow down today’s trend-driven pace and put substance back into design.



Introducing the Lightblaze POD Sneaker
The debut centers on the Lightblaze POD, a brand-new adidas Sportswear model. It first appeared in navy blue at a Paris pop-up event, reserved for friends and family. Today, it arrives in a fresh all-white colorway for a wider release.
The sneaker blends Arte’s refined minimalism with adidas performance expertise. It features Adizero LIGHTSTRIKE foam technology for responsive comfort and Arte’s signature metal branding for a premium finish. Textural depth and sculpted lines echo Arte’s mainline designs, making the Lightblaze POD both sporty and elegant.

Launch Details and What’s Next
The Lightblaze POD is priced at $200 / €200 and available exclusively on the CONFIRMED app. The drop uses the app’s wave mechanic, granting access through codes shared by adidas and Arte community members such as Bertony Da Silva, adidas athletes Rafael Leão and Nuno Mendes, and musician Jay Park. Each code can then be passed on to two friends, extending access to more fans.
Looking forward, adidas and Arte will expand the partnership with a Z.N.E. tracksuit and a full apparel collection. These upcoming pieces will continue to celebrate the meeting of African heritage and European identity through elevated sportswear.
