OTW by Vans x Shoyoroll marks a meeting of two California institutions, each shaped by craft, community, and culture. This new release sees OTW by Vans teaming up with Shoyoroll, the globally respected martial arts label, to reimagine the timeless Old Skool 36 through a fresh lens that celebrates shared roots and creative spirit.

Founded in 2000, Shoyoroll has long transcended the world of Jiu-Jitsu. Its evolution from underground beginnings to global influence mirrors Vans’ own rise from skateparks to cultural icon. Both brands have inspired generations while staying true to authenticity — and their collaboration captures that synergy perfectly.

The Grapplers and the Scrap

Two distinct versions headline the drop.
The Grapplers Old Skool features a Black upper built with pearl weave fabric — a material synonymous with martial arts uniforms — paired with premium suede overlays and co-branded detailing. Meanwhile, the Scrap Old Skool arrives in Navy and Red with an all-over logo print, celebrating Shoyoroll’s visual identity in bold, energetic form.

Each pair includes subtle nods to the brands’ ethos: a “Rebels against the Mainstream” message hidden behind the tongue label, leather lining, and the iconic Vans waffle outsole, all housed in custom packaging.
