Vans Skate Old Skool 36+ is a modern reimagining of the legendary Old Skool™ silhouette. It offers both style and substance, combining the original look with modern performance upgrades for today’s skateboarders.

Iconic Heritage Meets Modern Innovation

First released in 1977, the Style 36, later known as the Old Skool™, was Vans’ second-ever skate shoe. It was the first to feature the iconic Sidestripe™. The Old Skool also introduced the suede toe cap, which helped skateboarding evolve. The Vans Skate Old Skool 36+ honors this legacy while incorporating performance-focused updates.

Performance-Focused Design for Today’s Skateboarder

The Skate Old Skool 36+ keeps many features from the original, with some modern upgrades. It has a padded tongue and a shorter toe cap for a better fit. These updates improve freedom of movement and skate performance. DURACAP™ technology reinforces high-wear areas, ensuring durability. The SICKSTICK™ gum rubber compound provides excellent grip, while the waffle sole enhances board control.

Ultimate Comfort and Impact Protection

Skateboarding requires both comfort and durability. The Skate Old Skool 36+ features POPCUSH™ insoles for superior cushioning and protection. This technology also offers energy return, making it easier to stay comfortable during long, intense sessions.

Vans Skate Team x Zion Wright: The Campaign

The Skate Old Skool 36+ campaign stars Vans Skate Team riders, including Etienne Gagne, Basral Graito, Nelly Morville, and Zion Wright. The campaign features Zion’s latest song, Aquarius Baby, adding to the high-energy vibe. It highlights the connection between Vans’ past and future in the world of skateboarding.

Availability and Release Date

The Vans Skate Old Skool 36+ will drop on January 30, 2025. You can find it at Vans retail stores and online at vans.com/skate. An exclusive range of apparel will also be available alongside the shoes.
