Vans Launches Women’s Footwear and Apparel Collection Made with Liberty of London Fabrics

Always classics and always original, like Vans, Liberty Fabrics embodies authenticity and creativity, with their unparallel prints and textiles. This partnership brings two best-in-their-craft brands together for a forthcoming collection of women’s footwear and apparel this spring. The Vans Made with Liberty collection will be available globally this April.

Arthur Liberty opened his Regent Street London fabric shop with a 2000-pound loan in 1875. A century and a half later, not only is the Regent Street shop listed as a London heritage site, but it has also become an international shopping and fashion destination. Liberty has always remained true to its roots, and fabric design is still at the core of what they do. Every Liberty Fabric print is hand-drawn or painted by their in-house design team. The print is then transformed into fabric at the brand’s Italian printing mill.

Liberty of London Fabrics brings three of their stunning textile designs to a tapered version of Vans’ Old Skool silhouette. Liberty’s multi-colored floral pattern pops on a black background of the hero colorway, which is offset by Vans’ iconic Sidestripe. A brighter floral on a yellow backdrop and a patchwork floral-inspired paisley round out the footwear assortment.

To accompany the footwear assortment, Vans and Liberty collaborate on a women’s apparel and accessories assortment utilizing the dark floral motif found on the tapered Old Skool. The Vans x Liberty Jacket brings utilitarian style with a collarless shell jacket that is complimented with tonal checkerboard pocket detailing and Liberty fabrics floral pocket and cuff lining. The play on checkerboard and patchwork patterns translates to the Vans x Liberty shirt assortment with contrasting checkerboard blocking with embroidered Liberty floral branding. The accessories assortment includes a sturdy canvas mini bag and a checker panel bucket hat each affixed with Vans and Liberty of London logos.
