The Nike x LEGO creative play partnership is set to energize kids through sport, imagination, and fun, starting this summer.
Nike and LEGO Team Up to Inspire Kids Through Sport and Imagination
Nike and the LEGO Group have announced a groundbreaking multi-year partnership rooted in one bold idea: empowering the next generation through active and creative play. With immersive experiences, co-branded products, and a global message that celebrates fun and movement, the collaboration aims to reach kids everywhere—both on and off the court.

Summer Kicks Off with Experiences and Community Events
From June 7 to June 11, the first wave of activations will take place at LEGOLAND® California Resort. At this event, families can enjoy the Nike and LEGO Play Arena, which offers a hands-on experience. Kids will have the opportunity to create custom LEGO Minifigure athlete cards. Additionally, they can design their own mini basketball jerseys. To top it off, they can shoot hoops in a fun and imaginative setting. This promises to be an exciting event for everyone involved!
Another highlight will be a football-themed experience in London from July 19–27, aligned with summer football in Europe. Programming will focus on empowering girls and growing their confidence through play, in collaboration with nonprofit partners.
Nike and LEGO are also backing a global initiative to have June 11 recognized as the International Day of Play, reinforcing their shared commitment to access and creativity in childhood development.

A’ja Wilson Joins as Global Ambassador
Three-time WNBA MVP and Nike signature athlete A’ja Wilson is helping lead the charge. She shared:
“I have loved playing with LEGO bricks since I was a kid… I’m thrilled to be part of this partnership… and know we can help to make a positive impact with kids and adults alike.”
Wilson’s involvement will also shine through in digital content that reimagines the future of play for a global audience.

New LEGO Sets and Nike Collections Incoming
Starting July 1, the first product drops with the LEGO Nike Dunk set—a 1,180-piece collector’s dream complete with hidden compartments, changeable laces, and the “Dunk” slogan. The set even includes a Minifigure called B’Ball Head, adding extra flair for sneaker and LEGO fans alike.
On August 1, Nike will launch the Air Max Dn x LEGO Collection. This vibrant range includes kids’ footwear, apparel, and accessories. Following this, on September 1, the focus will shift to the Nike Dunk Low x LEGO Collection. This collection combines sneaker culture with LEGO’s iconic studded design. Both collections will be available on nike.com, in select Nike stores, and at LEGO.com/nike.

Global Footprint and Long-Term Impact
Nike is also bringing the partnership to life in Greater China, with in-store activations across Shanghai, Beijing, and more. A highlight includes a recycled-shoe playground in Shanghai, part of Nike’s commitment to build 100 Nike Grind courts—with 42 already completed.
Nike employees worldwide will participate in the celebration. They will learn how to coach youth sports and welcome children from local communities. This event will take place on June 11 and is dedicated to promoting playful movement. Through these activities, employees aim to engage with the youth and foster a love for sports.
As Nike VP Vanessa Garcia-Brito puts it:
“Our goal is to give the next generation an opportunity to enjoy a lifetime of sport and movement and help make their dreams real.”
