Jordan Brand “The One” is back, uniting elite youth hoopers worldwide in a fierce one-on-one showdown leading to a New York finale.
Jordan Brand The One Returns for Another Global Showdown
After last year’s successful debut in Paris, Jordan Brand’s “The One” global basketball tournament is returning for its second year. This event is a vibrant celebration of one-on-one basketball. It also showcases elite youth talent. The tournament is open to athletes aged 15 to 18. Furthermore, the competition will feature regional qualifiers in over 15 cities. Ultimately, these qualifiers will lead to a live-streamed final in New York City this August.

From Local Battles to Global Glory
The action begins this month in London at the Hoopsfix All Star Classic. This event sets the stage for an exciting summer filled with competition. After London, qualifiers will take place in several cities, including Chicago, Paris, Manila, Tokyo, and Beijing. At each stop, the best boys and girls will compete for a chance to advance to New York City. Once there, the top 20 finalists will face off in an exciting competition. Ultimately, the goal is to be crowned “The One” and earn the prestigious title of official Jordan Brand ambassadors.
Carrying the Legacy of Greatness
This tournament embodies the competitive spirit that characterizes Michael Jordan’s legacy. It draws inspiration from MJ’s childhood backyard battles with his brother Larry. Furthermore, The One pays tribute to the origins of the Jumpman. This mentality is rooted in perseverance, talent, and a strong determination to conquer each opponent, one at a time.

“The One tournament provides a platform for young athletes from around the world to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level,” says Sarah Mensah, President of Jordan Brand. “This event embodies Jordan Brand’s spirit of competition and excellence.”
Looking Back, Looking Ahead
Last year’s tournament crowned Tatianna Griffin (Los Angeles) and Steve Bah (Paris) at the immersive District 23 venue in Paris. Their journey didn’t end there — both athletes now represent Jordan Brand on the global stage.
“The journey to The One was an incredible experience,” says Griffin. “To represent the Jumpman is the ultimate symbol of greatness.”

This year’s NYC finale will ultimately conclude with a global one-on-one DJ battle, thereby highlighting the dynamic blend of basketball culture and street energy that characterizes The One.
