The PUMA Mostro Mule sequel by Louis-Gabriel Nouchi redefines progressive footwear with two fierce new monochrome designs.
A Designer Known for Bold Narratives
Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, the independent French designer behind the LGN label, is known for fusing high-concept fashion with cinematic references and a gender-fluid, tailored aesthetic. With past collections inspired by cult films like American Psycho, his work consistently blurs the lines between storytelling and design.

From Runway Reinvention to Footwear Innovation
Nouchi’s collaboration with PUMA has introduced a refined and radical approach to sportswear. Their earlier releases featured tailored takes on sneakers like the Palermo and Velophasis, as well as the original Mostro Mule, which debuted to strong acclaim for its progressive form.

Introducing the Mostro Mule Sequel
For Part Two, Nouchi returns to the PUMA Mostro Mule, originally based on a 1999 silhouette. The new edition embraces a fully rubberized, single-material construction in two bold tonal colorways: deep brown and dark green. Its spiketail sole remains, while a backless silhouette and slip-on fit enhance wearability and visual impact.
A Ferocious Tribute to the PUMA
The collection is once again inspired by the grace and power of the big cat that gives PUMA its name. “I synthesized the essence of the iconic Mostro shoes into a radical mule design using a single material, transforming it into both a design object and a comfortable sneaker,” says Nouchi. The result is a piece that captures tension between elegance and ferocity.

Looking Back at the Mostro Legacy
First launched in 1999, the PUMA Mostro stood out for its fusion of vintage track spikes and surf shoes, with a name that means “monster” in Italian. The mule version distills that DNA into a minimalist yet statement-making shape, continuing the legacy of rebellious design.
