In order to celebrate H’s legacy and his influence on the basketball world, Jordan Brand is launching the exclusive Air Jordan 2 “H” Wings, a shoe that reflects his passion, wisdom, and style.
The Air Jordan 2 “H” Wings
The Air Jordan 2 is H’s favorite model of Air Jordan shoes. It was designed in 1987 and has the same shape and fit as the original. As a result, this year’s Air Jordan 2 “H” Wings honors White’s legacy and his contribution to the community. The shoe features a white leather upper with black accents and a Wings logo on the heel. The shoe also has a message on the tongue that reads “Everyone can fly”.
The shoe’s color scheme is white, green, and black, which represents H’s high school team in Virginia, where he started playing basketball and became a star player. In detail, the upper part of the shoe has a wings drawing made by Israel Mateo, a Jordan Brand footwear designer. In addition, the shoe is made of high-quality leather. The back of the shoe has a clear finish with a gold “H” logo, which honors H’s college jersey and his excellence. Finally, the shoe’s laces have the words “Power” and “Belief” on them. Both of these words reflect H’s values and what he brings to Jordan Brand.
The Jordan Brand Wings Program
Jordan Brand Wings is a program that aims to inspire and empower young people through education and mentorship. It was founded by Howard “H” White. Howard had a vision of helping the next generation achieve greatness on their own terms. Every year, a Wings shoe is released to celebrate the students who are part of the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program.
The Air Jordan 2 “H” Wings will be available on June 10 on the SNKRS App for $210 USD. The shoe coincides with the announcement of the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Class of 2027, which includes 38 students from six cities in North America. These students will receive full-ride scholarships and access to guidance and opportunities from Jordan Brand Wings and its partners.
